The Monster Project (2015)

I’ve seen the trend of artists, toy-makers and generally awesome people turning kids’ drawings into real, tangible things. From a scribbly sketch becoming a fluffy toy to these fantastic interpretations by artists & illustrators.

The Monster Project is the undertaking of a passionate collection of artists (illustrators, designers, watercolorists, metalworkers, etc.) who share a common goal: to help children recognize the power of their own imaginations and to encourage them to pursue their creative potential. (source)

I am a firm believer in nurturing a child’s imagination and creativity. I think this will build every element of their intelligence – from mathematical aptitude to social skills. I have no basis for this opinion other than – DUH HOW COULD IT NOT? Look at 2015’s fabulous creations – I am so blown away.
